Background:

The Princeton Christian Church in New Jersey is located at Princeton University area and basically composed of first generation Chinese immigrants and their children.  There are approximately 300 adults and 50 youth and 100 + Children in PCC.  We are seeking a God-sent, mission minded youth pastor to shepherd our youth.  The purpose of PCC youth is to cultivate godly youth to please God and honor their parents, and to provide a friendly environment for them to grow, to fellowship, to develop close relationship,  to evangelize to unbelieving friends, to prepare them to face the challenge of future college life and to prevent them from falling away or deviating from the biblical truths through equipping them with bible truth and doctrines, and to guide them in living out a life with biblical moral standard through internalizing the bible teaching and interacting with role models.

 

Qualification

1.   A born again Christian, A prayer brave, mission minded with a calling to Chinese American youth.

2.   Must agree with PCC's Statement of Faith.

3.   gift in teaching and being teachable, team player, strong belief in Bible inerrancy, good example in daily living with high biblical Christian morals, with a pre-Millennium eschatology view prefer.

4.   Being married is highly preferable, but not absolute; If married, there should be a strong growing relationship together.

5.   Master’s degree or above from an accredited Seminary in North America preferable, or proven to have effective experience in leading youth group and with sound biblical knowledge.

 
Job Description

To serve the church by developing, coordinating and administering an effective and comprehensive ministry to the junior-high and senior-high youth of the church, and providing leadership to and supervision of staff members and volunteers involved in this ministry. 

1.  Under the supervision of the Senior Pastor developing and planning the youth activities and curriculum program including:

- worship;

- education;

- spiritual development;

- evangelism;

- missions;

- fellowship;

- affirmation of youth;

- support of families of youth.

2.   Organizing and coordinating weekly Friday fellowship gatherings.

3.   Leading Bible studies at Friday fellowship and at breakouts (i.e. Sunday school).

4.   Coordinating youth activities with the church master program and facilities calendar.

5.   As needed providing visitations and counseling to youth and/or parents who need guidance.

6.   Meeting with teens on a small group and/or one-on-one basis.

7.   Attending monthly Deacon Board meeting and staff meetings and retreats.
